People and Stuff I like

We're a growing family of businesses at the Cowlishaw Works, I share warehouse space with the adorable Vintage Tablewear Company. We also have a blog.
A new addition to the Cowlishaw family is Nicola Harpin, also know as The Pregnant Yogini. She runs fab Mysore Ashtanga Yoga classes and is a specialist in Pregnancy Yoga, Postnatal Yoga and classes for Mums/dads and their little ones from babes in arms to toddlers http://www.yoga-sheffield.com/ or http://www.pregnantyogini.com/

Myofascial Release (MFR) is a fascinating therapy, and I've been lucky enough to train with the incredible Ruth Duncan. If you'd like to know more about MFR please have a look at her very informative website
http://www.myofascialrelease.co.uk/

And further afield, I have had the priveledge of training with John F Barnes, and look forward to doing moreso in the future. He represents the American arm of Myofascial Release, his website is http://www.myofascialrelease.com

I can't even start to explain how amazing, fascinating and incredible Muscle Activation is! It's a joy to be able to work with such a powerful technique - you should try it! Really! Or at least read about it here, on Douglas Heel's site www.be-activated.com

I'm a big advocate of pilates. If you learn to strengthen and stabilise your body as a complement to ongoing massage and myofascial realease work you'll find the dividends pay off massively. In my opinion, one of the best Pilates instructors and body workers in Sheffield (if not the whole of the North) is Lee at Breathe Pilates:

But if stretch is more of your thing, why not try Carly at Yoga Boutique Sheffield, it's a beautiful little studio tucked away in Brincliffe specialising in Vinyasa Flow and Antenatal Yoga  http://www.yogaboutiquesheffield.com

Revolution Inc - these guys created this lovely website and all my fantastic eco friendly stationery - trust me they're good with design and stuff!

If you happen to live on the wrong side of the Pennines but want to see a top notch therapist, I'd definitely recommend Alex in Manchester. He's so talented he even gets TWO websites:
One for acupuncture http://www.re-creation.org.uk/
AND one for massage http://www.massagemanchester.org.uk/
